Community for users of Savvy Content Manager

I often find that when I try to edit and format text within a table while I'm in code view, when I return to WYSIWYG view and save the edits I had made in code view disappear. This includes simple line breaks within cells, and other basic edits. The reason I resorted to doing the edits in code view was because the edits I was making in WYSIWYG also weren't holding (ie - looks fine on screen, but when I hit "save" and I'm taken out of the editing module, the edits I made don't show up - then when I return to the editing module again, sure enough, my edits were gone).

Anyone have any thoughts about this? I believe I'm on version 4.2

Thanks!

Most databases (which store your content) have a maximum number of characters they can store. I notice that you have a lot of content, and only one content object! Add an additional content object below the first so you can spread your content between two objects.

Jane,

I had this issue as well some time ago, if it deals with a large amount of data. Here's the discussion I had opened. We simply added a second content area under the first, as Amy has suggested. Hope it helps.

David,

Thanks so much! I'm going to give it a try!

Alternatively, you can (usually) increase the character limit of your database. I had to do this on one site where it literally was just one huge table (product listing).
