If you do not need the navigation to be an editable object, you do not need to use the Savvy navigation skins and can use your standard css. If you want the navigation to be an editable Savvy module, you will need to customize a dnav skin to your de…

OK - so I guess the idea is to NOT have your navigation css pre-designed before you integrate into Savvy - or be prepared to reverse engineer your existing navigation css into the Savvy navigation skins... This is very frustrating... I had no idea…

Hi Kris, The skins control the look of the Savvy navigation on the site (what you see when you view the site), some potential styles referenced there are: the font color and size, background color and/or whether there is a border around a second or…

Are these nav menu skins for the editor function only? Or are they part of the public facing site? Sorry to be so dim-witted...

Hi Kris, The editable Savvy navigation modules work with the skins located in actionfiles/dnav/cssmenus/skins. The menus.css of a skin needs to be edited to reflect your look and feel and any specific images need to be included in the "img" directo…

I'm a noobie - and confused about my existing CSS, and how I can use it with Savvy to create editable nav items... do I need to re-write the css I originally created to fit into the Savvy skins model?

The National Humane Society Federation, a voluntary, non-profit organization advocating for animal welfare shelters and care groups throughout the U.S. announces the launch of their new website integrated with web content management software built by Savvy Software, Inc. based in Portsmouth, NH.

The new web site highlights NFHS's mission of being "a strong voice that speaks as one" advocating for animals in need. Additionally, the new site design is operational with the cost effective ability for the federation to upload and edit the information on their website.

Savvy 4.7.7 Released

We made a new update to savvy to fix an issue for users of FireFox version 3.0.7.    Firefox changed how they deal with z-index, high numbers that were once valid are no longer valid.

The big number we used as the z-index for our floating layer was considered invalid and the nav was showing through.  We changed the indexes of all of our UI to be much lower to ensure compatibility across the browsers, updated the js code, and even made it fly across the screen all cool like.

The update required code changes in a number of files CF and JS alike, so a full upgrade is required to fix the problem.
